Antonio Ruiz, appointed general director of AMC Networks International Southern Europe

AMC Networks International Southern Europe begins a new stage with Antonio Ruiz, new general director and executive vice president who will lead the management of all the company's brands in Spain and Portugal.

Ruiz, who will report directly to Eduardo Zulueta, president of AMC Networks International, has a solid track record in audiovisual industry internationally. The executive was general director of Discovery for Spain, France and Portugal, achieving great commercial and financial results in the management of the company's pay, DTT and streaming channels. After the merger of WarnerMedia y Discovery, held the position of general manager for the United Kingdom and Ireland in Warner Bros.

Previously, Antonio held various positions in Discovery. Among them, positions include global vice president of marketing and franchise management at Eurosport; senior director of marketing and communications of Discovery Networks for Southern Europe, or channel director for Spain, Portugal and France.

Graduated in Business Administration and Management from the San Pablo CEU University, Antonio Ruiz has a master's degree in Marketing and Sales Management from the ESIC and has completed an executive Digital Business program at ISDI, where he also teaches classes to managers.
