RED's V-Raptor brings the cinema look to broadcast at NAB 2024

The new module RED Cine-Broadcast compatible with V-Raptor presented in NAB 2024 facilitates the integration of the cinematic look in entertainment productions, sports broadcasts and events.

Compatible with camera systems V-Raptor XL [X], V-Raptor [X] y V-Raptor y V-Raptor XL standard, the new module RED Cine-Broadcast allows live broadcasting of up to two channels 4K 60P (HDR/SDR) through 12G-SDI. The system, prepared for IP broadcast with SMPTE ST 2110 (TR-08) and even a signal 4K 60P JPEG-XS, also incorporates a hybrid fiber optic cable connector LEMO SMPTE 311M/304M, which connects to a rack-mountable 2 RU base station. Additionally, it offers many other features such as advanced slow-motion workflows, AI/ML augmentation using R3Ds 8K 120FPS using the RED License-enabled RED Connect feature.

The company has also announced the new option at NAB 2024 Broadcast Color Pipeline for the DSMC3 range of cameras. This feature allows you to live paint RED cameras in broadcast or streaming environments, as well as make on-demand adjustments and adjust the color of multiple cameras using traditional broadcast controls.

The new firmware-enabled functionality uses the RCP industry standard for controlling painting parameters in real time over IP, while saving per-frame information in the metadata of the recorded file. This new option comes as a standard firmware update for all V-Raptor and V-Raptor XL variants.

RED's commitment to NAB 2024 is completed with demonstrations focused on the tools package Global Vision, which includes the functions extended highlights y Phantom Track designed for virtual production environments.
