IBC 2024 will grow in space with a new pavilion
The Amsterdam RAI will host from September 13 to 16 the 2024 edition of IBC, which will continue to focus on innovation and trends with the attendance of hundreds of manufacturers and the presence of representatives of the global broadcast industry.
IBC 2024 returns with the aim of bringing together the “technological and content” community to show “revolutionary innovations”, address the latest industry trends and encourage networking between all agents in the broadcast world. Michael Crimp, CEO of IBC, does not hesitate to affirm that the next edition of the fair will be a “unmissable appointment” for professionals “from all over the world”, in statements aimed at highlighting the “global” reach of the appointment.
The organization of the appointment Amsterdam has confirmed the return of brands such as “AWS, Blackmagic, Canon, LG, LTN,Panasonic, Ross Video, Samsung, Sony y Zixi”, as well as the return of exhibitors for the first time since 2019 such as “Benro, Insta360, Robe, Vecima and Yamaharet” or 100 new exhibitors among which are “Antenna Hungaria, Frequency Networks, MBS, Medianet Berlin, Servers.com and swXtch.io”. The organization of the show expects that the reservations of exhibitors from the Asia-Pacific region up to double digits.
As of May 2024, the exhibition space contracted by participating companies has already exceeded 44.500 metros squares from last year. Looking ahead to its 2024 edition, IBC has confirmed that it will use the pavilion 14 of the RAI to house a second Content Everywhere area and the new AI Tech Zone, dedicated to artificial intelligence. In the words of Steve Connolly, director of IBC: “The reason we are building Hall 14 is to accommodate the exponential growth of Content Everywhere, which is the go-to area for Over-the-Top (OTT) and cross-platform delivery.”
IBC 2024 will also offer a content program throughout his four days long, with presentations, panels, masterclasses and demonstrations focused on core topics such as AI, 5G, Cloud, eSports, immersive experiences, OTT and streaming, AdTech and connected technologies. These events will take place at the Showcase Theatre, the Innovation Stage, two Content Everywhere Stages and the AI Tech Zone Stage. On the Innovation Stage there will also be demonstrations of the Accelerator Media Innovation Programme, in which many of the most inventive players in the sector and technology will show how they collaborate to accelerate projects that address the real challenges facing the industry today.
The Amsterdam event has confirmed that speakers such as Kasia Jablonska, director of digital and on-demand at BBC Studios; Israel Stephen, CTO of beIN Media Group; Laura Florence, Senior Vice President Global FAST Channels Fremantle; Phil Wiser, executive vice president and global chief technology officer of Paramount Global, y David Bouchier, TV and entertainment director of Virgin Media O2, will be part of your conference staff.
