Bolero (Riedel), key piece for the OCSA's great annual production
The Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) has integrated the Bolero wireless intercom system from Riedel at its annual “OCSA Unleashed” fundraising gala
The system Bolero, with three antennas, 18 beltpacks y 18 headphones (10 Air and eight Max), played a crucial role in the second annual edition of OCSA Unleashed, a show of comic sketches produced by students and inspired by popular formats such as Saturday Night Live. Broadcast live on YouTube from the school's campus studios, this year's event involved more than 100 students of 5 of OCSA's 17 schools: film and television, production and design, creative writing, acting and musical theater.
Bolero's flexibility allowed the school to go from a configuration of three cameras to one of once, guaranteeing communication between teams. This is how he defines his experience with the Bolero Morgan The, the coordinator of the OCSA gala performances: "With the Bolero system, we expanded the scope of our show and incorporated more dynamic elements than ever before. (...) Bolero's multichannel capacity interconnected our directors, camera operators, two studios (with notoriously poor reception) and the control room, even extending to outside locations."
The decision to start using Bolero came from the own students. When researching the most used equipment in sports productions and in other local shows, they discovered that Riedel's solution was one of the most widespread equipment. Julia Gutierrez, director of public relations at OCSA, says that the institution is “tremendously proud” of the “initiative and ambition of our students.” "This event has fostered a phenomenal collaboration between our schools, and we hope it continues to grow. Our students not only learn, they thrive, push boundaries, and contribute significantly to the arts community."
