RTVE - Short Wave - Outdoor Radio España - Transmitters

The Board of Directors of RTVE Unanimously approves the purchase, installation and commissioning of a new short wave transmitter: the first of the five new transmitters that Spain's exterior radio (REE) needs “urgently” to guarantee the continuity of this public service.

The new transmitters will replace current equipment, which have "widely exceeded their useful life" and whose frequent breakdowns They put at risk the continuity of the emissions in short wave. Specifically, they will be in charge of carrying the short wave signal to Western Africa, the Middle East, North America and South America.
