After the commotion caused by the information of the SER Chain which included some controversial recordings by Alfonso Sánchez, Madrid's public radio television has abruptly dismissed the director of Onda Madrid.

The director of the public entity, Ángel Martín Vizcaíno, informed the Board of Directors of the dismissal yesterday. For his part, the advisor to the Presidency and spokesperson for the regional government, Ángel Garrido, was quick to describe the statements and words of the person in charge of the public radio station as “very unfortunate.”

Según la grabación difundida por la Cadena SER, Alfonso Sánchez en las semanas previas al ERE que la radiotelevión autonómica presentó en 2012, aseguró en una reunión con trabajadores que “el modelo de radio que tengamos que hacer con el dinero que nos den y las personas que estemos, que esperemos que sean las más, me la suda, como si tengo que cantar yo”. En el ERE de Telemadrid fueron finalmente despedidos cinco redactores de deportes de la radio y tres técnicos de sonido.
