Manuel Prieto, new regional director of Onda Cero Andalusia
Prieto, who will combine the position with the Antena 3 delegation, will take over from Pepe Fernández.
Journalist Manuel Prieto Romero, Antena 3 delegate in Andalusia, has been named the new regional director of Onda Cero, taking over from Pepe Fernández.
Manuel Prieto, a native of Lora del Río (Seville), joined the editorial staff of Antena 3 Televisión in 1990, being the first presenter of private television broadcasts in Andalusia. Since then, he has hosted and directed the current affairs weekly Andalucía a Fondo and the spaces Noticias de Sevilla and Noticias de Andalucía. In 1992 he was appointed delegate of Antena 3 Television in Andalusia, a position that from now on he will combine with the regional management of Onda Cero. He has also been a collaborator on the radio programs A todo radio, Sevilla en la Onda, Gente de Andalucía and Ruedo Andaluz.
The Onda Cero Directorate has reached an agreement with Pepe Fernández for his replacement as head of that Regional Directorate. The decision, which materialized in a meeting held last week in Seville, has been made by mutual agreement and to the full satisfaction of both parties.
Pepe Fernández, who participated as a journalist in the founding of Onda Cero Radio in 1990, was appointed to the position of regional director and director of Onda Cero Sevilla on July 1, 1993. After having overcome a serious coronary problem last year, both parties have considered it appropriate to step away from management tasks, given the tension inherent to said activity at the current time.
