Quicklink - StudioEdge - IBC 2024

StudioEdge, development Quicklink designed to allow television networks and production teams to introduce guests from major video conferencing platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Skype and Zoom into productions, will be presented at IBC 2024 (September 13-16).

The new StudioEdge integrate technology StudioCall of Quicklink, which allows users to create group conversations in real time, round tables and live interviews, since it can manage any combination of remote guests from all over the world, with direct communication and chat support for guidance. Richard Rees, CEO of Quicklink, highlights the keys to the solution: "StudioEdge simplifies the workflow of introducing high-quality voice talent to create engaging productions while reducing costs. Production teams no longer need multiple solutions, computers and converters, as StudioEdge eliminates the difficulties of integrating disparate and competing technologies, and harmoniously unites them into a simple, single, elegant and easy-to-use production management system."

The system, which can be discovered in depth in IBC 2024, includes a remote control interface Browser-based via cloud platform QuickLink; admit four audio and video channels broadcast-quality images from remote Microsoft Teams, Skype, Zoom, and QuickLink StudioCall guests, and enables direct communication, outside the live, between the operator and the remote guests, offering total control over the production. Likewise, its broadcast quality outputs SDI, NDI and ST 2110 allows its integration with video production systems such as Ross Video, Grass Valley, Vizrt o Avid, among others.

“For more than 21 years, QuickLink has been the industry leader in remote guest solutions, with QuickLink TX (Skype TX) and StudioCall integrated into virtually every production room in the world. StudioEdge brings this expertise together to create the Swiss Army Knife of remote guest solutions – it is the true broadcast magic box,” he concludes. Rees.
