Ikegami's big premieres at IBC 2024: cameras, monitors, control panels...
The HDK-X500 portable HD camera system leads the wide selection of new products in IBC 2024 of Ikegami, a firm that will show solutions hitherto unpublished in European territory such as the OCP-500 operation control panel or the HLM-2460WA and HLM-1860WR monitors.
The HDK-X500 It has been designed for use in a wide spectrum of applications, including pedestal-mounted studio operations, tripod-based sports coverage, and shoulder-mounted EFP/ENG. Among its features are its three 2/3-inch CMOS global shutter sensors Next generation plus automatic optical vignetting correction across the entire range of OVC compatible B4 bayonet mount zoom lenses. Control of ambient lighting, studio or outdoor, is supported by the same dual color compensation and neutral density filter system used in Ikegami's high-end cameras. Additionally, the camera's built-in digital processor provides 16-axis color correction, allowing for precise matching of scenes or creating specific effects.
The camera is accompanied by its corresponding control panel, the OCP-500. Designed for integration into an outdoor broadcast center or control room, its 82mm width offers efficiency without compromising functionality; in fact, up to five OCP-500 panels fit in the space of four OCP-300 control units. The self-illuminated control buttons They improve operation in secondary control room environments with dimmed lighting, while power consumption has been reduced to approximately half that of the OCP-300. As it could not be otherwise, the configuration data can be store or share via USB sticks.
The HDK-X500 is accompanied on Dutch soil by other proposals of great interest such as the UHD HDR HFR camera with IP capability UHK-X700, la cual incluye tres sensores CMOS UHD de 2/3 pulgadas con un obturador global para minimizar los artefactos al capturar pantallas LED o escenas iluminadas con flash o luz estroboscópica; la cámara portátil HD 4K UHK-X600, la cual presenta compatibilidad total con HDR con la capacidad de seleccionar entre espacios cromáticos BT.2020 y BT.709; la cámara compacta multipropósito UHL-43, una solución compacta de tipo caja diseñada para aplicaciones como estudios robóticos, retransmisiones de eventos en directo, televisión parlamentaria y captura de imágenes POV, o la cámara UHD HDR UHL-F4000, diseñada para aplicaciones como la captura de video aéreo desde helicópteros en una amplia gama de condiciones diurnas o nocturnas.
Debut of HD video monitors
y HLM-1860WR and IBC 2024
Building on the features and performance of its predecessor, the HLM-2460W, the new Ikegami video monitor HLM-2460WA of 24 inches It debuts IPS LCD panel with a contrast ratio of 1,800:1 and a maximum brightness of 400 nits. The HLM-2460WA is suited to broadcast environments such as editing rooms where a PC-compatible WUXGA display resolution is preferred and for integration into monitor walls.
In parallel, the HLM-1860WR has a panel 18.5 inch IPS LCD larger than its predecessor, the HLM-1760WR, within the same 7U chassis with a 19-inch rack width. The screen has a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and, with its maximum brightness of 500 nits, reproduces clear images even in outdoor environments. The HLM-1860WR can be powered by mains or a 12V DC battery. Additional features on both models include user-definable on-screen guides (up to 12 lines or boxes) that can be positioned with a USB mouse. Dynamic and static UMDs are also supported
New IPX-100 IP Extension Unit
The new ministation IP-oriented base, the IPX-100, it is another surprise that Ikegami had in store for European industry. Gisbert Hochguertel, product specialist at Ikegami Europe, sees this solution as a “bridge” between conventional broadcast and the wider world of ST-2110 infrastructure: “Compatible with all Ikegami 2U high and 19-inch wide half rack. ST 2110-22 (JPEG-XS) encoding is available as a software option, an important feature that allows data transmission speed to be adapted to the available IP bandwidth.
Equipped to function as a fully self-contained unit, the IPX-100 includes a signal generator which allows you to configure the system before connecting cameras or other sources. Connectivity ST-2110 can be configured independently by IT specialists before the event. On the day of the event, cameras can be easily connected to the IPX-100 using a hybrid fiber cable. SMPTE conventional with an extension of up to 3.5 km. The camera head is powered via IPX-100, so there is no operational difference compared to using a conventional camera with fiber cable.
The IPX-100 converts broadcast signals into ST-compatible signals2110 and, as such, serves as a gateway to IP. The IPX-100 is also available with a 3G/HD-SDI input/output optional to serve as an external converter SDI and IP from IP and SDI. An HD-SDI video monitoring output allows direct connection of a field monitor to the IPX-100 to monitor related video signals in situ.
The connection of a Ikegami OCP-300/-500 via Ethernet to IPX-100 Enables on-site camera control, even if an IP connection to the broader ST-2110 infrastructure has not yet been established. A PC running Ikegami XE Web View software can simultaneously be attached to the network hub, allowing system monitoring through an optional protocol gateway. Automated configuration can be performed using an IS-04/IS-05 NMOS feed from the IPX-100 to a local or remote central automation system.
Los video formats Compatible as standard are UHD (2160p59.94/50), HD (1080p59.94/50, 1080i 59.94/50 and HD-HFR at 1080i/p (2x/3x/4x speed) and 720p59.94/50). Other supported standards include ST 2022-7 SMPTE redundancy, ST2110-10 synchronization, ST-2110-20/-21/-22/-30/-40 and ST 2059-1/2 PTP and a wide range of control protocols such as NMOS IS-04/-IS05.
He IPX-100 can optionally output signal flow data JPEG-XS (software option) at selectable high (1/6), medium (1/8), low (1/16) and minimum (1/32) speeds. Other options include a 3D-LUT output for HD simulcast (supporting 33 x 33 x 33 or 65 x 65 x 65 .cube files created with DaVinci Resolve), HD to 4K-UHD conversion, or a data trunk output.
Ikegami also exhibits examples of his range of monitors for broadcast production, including three 4K/HD models: the HQLM-3125X and HQLM-3120W 31.5 inches, in addition to the HQLM-1720WR 17 inches; HD video monitor HLM-960WR 9 inches, and a professional HD screen: the ULE-217AR.
