The VFE-P711AD joins Ikegami's multi-format monitors

With OLED technology, a 7-inch size and compatibility with all Unicam-XE and Unicam-HD cameras, the VFE-P711AD from Ikegami arrives to provide an evolution of the VFL-P700AD LCD support.

The latest development of Ikegami, released in IBC 2025, take advantage of all the advantages of OLED to provide indoor and outdoor camera operators with high fidelity color reproduction combined with high brightness and a “superior” contrast ratio. According to Gisbert Hochguertel, product specialist at Ikegami Europe, the tool becomes especially useful thanks to its fast response time”, which improves the user experience “especially when capturing content in high frame rate mode, where precise focusing and framing is essential.”

He VFE-P711AD supports digital connection to cameras Unicam-XE or can be connected to series Single-HD via a VFC-700i5 analog cable. The viewfinder, which can also be used as a field monitor for external 3G-SDI signal, integrates its own waveform monitor and vectorscope, in addition to an audio level meter, two front tally indicators (green / red) and a rear red indicator. Likewise, Ikegami has confirmed that all accessories of the VFL-P700AD LCD model are compatible with the new OLED viewfinder: fixed visors, folding visors, studio visor, a viewfinder support on the camera, cables, carrying case...

The new VFE-P711AD 7-inch OLED viewfinder will be available in four different versions: Pack S, with standard accessories for mounting on a handheld camera head with ENG lens; Pack A, which enables improved pan/tilt operation on a handheld camera head with ENG lens, Pack B, which enables improved pan/tilt operation in a system expander (SE-U430) for box lens applications, and Pack C, for improved pan/tilt operation on a studio camera head (UHK-X750/-X650). In either version, power can be obtained directly from the camera or from an external 12 volt DC source.
