FSN: new multi-format mixers from Barco

With a modular and easy-to-use format, Barco has presented a new series of mixers capable of handling both SD, HD and 3Gb/s signals, integrating them with most graphic computing formats. The first two mixers in this series are the FSN-150, a 1.5M/E control console, and the FSN-1400, with a 14-slot processing chassis. The base configuration includes eight native input channels and two two-channel universal inputs capable of accepting any video or graphics format. The basic solution also includes M/E outputs and six native auxiliary outputs. Up to five additional input cards can be added to this configuration for a maximum of 38 inputs.
The new models in this series will include additional cards to extend the capacity of the FSN mixers. Among other new features, they will include two channels for 2D digital effects, an integrated multiviewer for 16 channels, two-channel universal outputs and eight native ones. One of the new models will be the FSN-250, a 2.5M/E console that will likely be introduced before IBC'09, and will provide full access to an M/E circuit.
