NEP will debut the new Sony MLS-X1 modular mixers

Andrews production center NEP in Sydney (Australia) has been renewed with 20 units of the MLS-X1 Sony, Sony's new live mixer.

He MLS-X1 it's a modular mixer system which, thanks to Sony's scalable architecture, allows you to connect multiple units and expand as needed. Ready to integrate hybrid functions (on-premises and cloud), mixer resources can also be split and used as multiple virtual mixers in a single physical system. Depending on production needs, the required number of units can be selected and configured and users can easily add additional mixers for specific or large-scale special events.

The new units MLS-X1 will be installed in the production center Andrews of NEP in Sydney (Australia), while signals from remote locations around the country, such as sports stadiums, will be sent to the center via a red IP. The signals are then mixed using the MLS-X1 units, which will be managed by production staff in-house.

En estas conversaciones, Segar descubrió cómo la solución se adaptaba a sus necesidades de contar con mezcladores de mayor tamaño con “más entradas y salidas”, preparados para “eventos en 4K” y “procesamiento SMPTE 2110 nativo”.

"We also needed a flexible solution that would allow us to use resources more efficiently and assign them to a specific job when necessary instead of keeping them in a fixed configuration, which would allow us to expand the system quickly. The new MLS-X1 live mixers meet these requirements, among many others," adds the NEP technology manager.
