RTVE and the Television Academy renew their collaboration agreement
The interim president of the RTVE Corporation, Concepción Cascajosa and the president of the Academy of Television and Audiovisual Sciences and Arts, María Casado, renew the collaboration agreement between both entities that will be an important boost for some of the institution's projects such as the Television Museum or the delivery of the Iris Awards.
The Academy is committed to involving RTVE in the different activities it carries out related to the television field: promotion and defense of the public image of all audiovisual professionals; promotion, organization and public communication of prizes and awards; promotion of training activities; exchange of experiences among its members; establishment of scientific and cultural exchanges with international entities; participation of the TV Academy in professional events organized by RTVE; creation of the Television Museum in Spain and the development of an audiovisual archive that collects the testimonies of the professionals who contributed to the creation and development of the television industry in Spain.
Concepción Cascajosa has pointed out that for the Corporation "it is very important that in an industry like television that it seems that we only compete, because in the end there are different interests, there are things that transcend beyond day-to-day competition, such as cooperation, exchange."
“It is essential to be able to participate in this collective project related to the television industry in Spain, because it is a top-level productive sector and to be able to give a boost to some of the Academy's projects such as the Television Museum and the Iris Awards ceremony and to be part of this process,” added Cascajosa.
For her part, María Casado has highlighted that "with this important agreement we add strength and give new impetus to this innovative, transformative and integrative stage of the Institution. In addition, we reinforce the commitment of the board of directors of a participatory Television Academy open to all actors in the sector as a meeting point for audiovisuals in Spain."
