The designation TOP (Total Outdoor Protection) Neutrik indicates a wide range of advanced environmental and safety protections, beyond the required certifications, for greater resistance and operability in the most adverse application environments.

To protect against material degradation due to UV light during prolonged exposure to sunlight, UV-resistant, high-impact, F1-certified plastic and rubber materials and components are widely used. Elsewhere, rigorous UV resistance testing is carried out in accordance with the IEC EN 62368-1 standard, which requires resistance under specific test conditions.
