FIPADOC 2025 Biarritz Documentary Festival

The Biarritz International Documentary Festival, FIPADOC, will celebrate its seventh edition from January 24 to February 1 with a wide selection of works from around the world and a special selection of feature films from the Balkans.

Chaired by Anne Georget and directed by Christine Camdessus, FIPADOC will open the year of the main international documentary festivals of the January 24 to February 1, 2025 representing all “documentary formats, forms and genres” through screenings, master classes, debates and conferences. To this end, the event will form a broad program divided into the sections International documentary, National documentary, Musical documentary, Impact documentary, Stories from Europe, Panorama of French-speaking creation, Smart, Numerical experiences, Short films, Young creation, Territory Focus, Documentary Series, With Family, Taste of documentary (honor of gastronomy) and Ocean.

In addition to its official selection, FIPADOC will once again facilitate meetings between sector agents through FIPADOC Pro, as well as will give rise to new forms of documentary writing with Biarritz Immersive. The event will also continue to affirm its commitment to image education, welcoming a young audience and promoting the emergence of the talents of tomorrow with Campus.

Likewise, FIPADOC has confirmed the return of Territory Focus, a section that reinforces the European dimension of the festival, seeks enrich the diversity of films and completes the content of the rest of the projects presented at the festival. In 2025, this initiative will be dedicated to Balkans, showing the best films and projects of Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia.
