The Summer Campus of the Film Academy returns for its third edition to Valencia

Clases magistrales, sesiones de trabajo, grabaciones o actividades abiertas al público componen la programación del Campus de Verano de la Film Academy, iniciativa desarrollada con la colaboración de Netflix y el apoyo del Ayuntamiento de Valencia que alcanza su tercera edición.

He Campus de Verano Academia de Cine inició su third edition el domingo 16 de junio en Valencia, ciudad en la que, durante dos semanas, ocho directores y directoras serán formados para que sus proyectos ahonden en el retrato de la diversidad de la mejor manera posible. Concretamente, Beatriz Mbula, Sara Bamba, Hajar Boujtat, Anxos Fazáns, Sonia Martí Gallego, Marta Ambel, Dave Jackson e Ignacio Acconcia recibirán durante los próximos días asesoramiento de los cineastas Estíbaliz Urresola Solaguren, Manuel Martín Cuenta, Anna R. Costa y Pablo Remón, among others.

Estos mentores asistieron a la inauguración de esta iniciativa organizada por la Academia de Cine con la colaboración de Netflix and the support of Ayuntamiento de Valencia. Estuvieron acompañados del vicepresidente de la Academia de Cine, Rafael Portela; la responsable del departamento de Políticas Públicas de Netflix en España y Portugal, Esperanza Ibáñez, y Enrique Pardo, Netflix Series Manager, who welcomed the filmmakers selected in this third edition, which seeks to increase the inclusion of diversity in Spanish cinema.

Portela He stated that "the Campus is a very exciting and very special project for the Academy because it is unlike any other in the Spanish audiovisual sector. This initiative responds to the need for our cinema to be richer and more diverse." Ibanez, for his part, told those present: "It is very important to be able to count on you, who put passion into everything you do. We look forward to seeing how you work on your projects that talk about diversity, which is something very important."

The programming of this development initiative of the Film Academy will also be open to the inhabitants and visitors to the city. Thus, in the coming days the CaixaForum of the capital of Turia will host meetings open to the public with professionals from the audiovisual industry. In addition, on June 26 there will be a screening of the film Campeonex, of Javier Fesser, which will be followed by a meeting with part of the acting cast.

There will also be developed a participatory audiovisual project with the collective The Harvest y la entidad valenciana sin ánimo de lucro El arca de Nazaret, un organismo de interés público que trabaja por los derechos de niños y niñas, jóvenes y familias de los barrios de la periferia sur de la ciudad de València.
