Andalusia calls for aid for audiovisual projects in 2025

The Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Junta of Andalusia, through the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions, calls for subsidies for the development of audiovisual works projects in Andalusia for the year 2025, which have a financial allocation of 620,846 euros, a figure increased by just over 100,000 over the 2024 call.

This line of incentives seeks to promote the creation of audiovisual works in Andalusia in your development phase and may be requested by natural and legal persons established in a member state of the European Union or the European Economic Area. Applicants must demonstrate that they have produced in the last six years, or twelve years in the case of animation projects, at least two short films or one feature film qualified by age groups and obtained the corresponding certificate of Spanish nationality, or who have participated in a television series or film as a producer and who have at least 10% ownership of these productions. Each applicant may present up to five different requests, as long as they are different projects.

To achieve the status of provisional or alternate beneficiaries, projects must achieve at least 65 points and will receive up to 50,000 euros per proposal provided that said amount does not exceed 40% of the budget presented. The established payment method is advance payment of 50% of the subsidy amount on the date of issuance of the resolution and a second payment for the remaining amount once the activity is completed and justified.

The evaluation criteria are the feasibility and interest of the project, the quality of the script project, the track record of the production company, the track record of the screenwriter, the assessment of the investments and expenses made in Andalusia, and the strategic quality of marketing and distribution of impact and sustainability, among others. The tax domicile and work centers must be located in Spanish territory and will have at least one headquarters in Andalusia. In the case of foreign companies, they must have a subsidiary under the same terms.

The application and allegation forms can be obtained for completion in the Catalog of procedures and services of the Administration of the Junta de Andalucía, as well as in the Agency website. Applications must be submitted electronic form through the electronic headquarters of the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions on the web.

These subsidies are added to the aid to production of feature film projects, of documentaries and other works audiovisual, published last week in BOJA number 246 of December 20; and to those of short films in Andalusia. These three lines of incentives will reach the figure of almost three million euros, exactly 2.920.846 euros, and join other actions promoted by the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions in the promotion of the audiovisual sector, such as those contemplated in the Andalusia·Culture promotion plan.
