Max's sports offering grows with the PGA Tour, a key circuit for golf fans
In 2025, Max will welcome the best golf tournaments, adding to its offer of sporting events in live streaming the PGA Tour, the main American men's professional golf circuit and the most important in the world.
Live coverage of Max dedicated to this sport will begin with the broadcast from January 2 to 5, The Sentry, known as The Tournament of Champions, which opens the 2025 season of the PGA Tour of golf and is held in Hawaii. As has been the case for 27 editions, the Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort in Maui hosts this competition that is held over four days and brings together the winners of the official PGA TOUR events of the 2024 calendar and the 50 best qualifiers of the 2023-24 FedExCup.
The Sentry is a no-cut tournament 72 holes which distributes a total prize of 20 million dollars to the participants who finish in the first places in the classification, allocating 3.6 million dollars to the prize for the winner of the tournament. The Spanish Jon Rahm was the winner in 2024, with a score of 265 (-27). In 2022, Cameron Smith posted the lowest 72-hole score in PGA TOUR history (-34) to win the tournament.
The team of experts at Eurosport in charge of narrating live and analyzing everything that happens both in The Sentry and in the rest of the PGA Tour events in Max will make up Hugo Costa, Guillermo Salmerón Sergio M. Gutiérrez and Marta Sánchez, which will also feature comments from Spanish professional players Pedro Oriol and Jacobo Pastor.
