Atresmedia enters the official selection of the Berlinale with two series: 'Santuario' and 'Honor'
The fictions 'Sanctuary' and 'Honor' by Atresmedia have been selected by the Berlinale, specifically in the Series Market Selects section, standing out for its “quality and potential in the national market.”
Both Sanctuary as Honor They will have a special pass during the event Berlinale Series Market, appointment intended to connect potentials buyers with distributors. They are 2 of the 17 chosen series by the programmers of the Berlin event, whose section dedicated to television series will take place between the February 16 and 19.
Sanctuary is a production by Atresmedia in collaboration with Pokeepsie Movies. Montse Garcia y Rodrigo Ruiz-Gallardón are the executive producers, with Alex de la Iglesia y Carolina Bang as producers. In fiction, Aura Garrido plays Valle, an engineer specialized in AI with very clear values, but when she is offered to work at the Sanctuary she will have to rethink her ideals. For her part, Lucía Guerrero will play Pilar, a woman who arrives at the Sanctuary three months pregnant to whom “very soon everything will begin to seem strange.”
On the other hand, Honor, this time in collaboration with Portocabo, has Montse Garcia y Alfonso Blanco as executive producers. The series is based on the Israeli format Quota, created by Ron Ninio and Shlomo Mashiach for yes TV. Starring Darío Grandinetti, it proposes an emotional, criminal and legal thriller that will address the moral dilemma of a renowned judge who will have to decide what he is willing to do to save his son after being involved in a fatal accident that could ruin his life.
