Series Match: la iniciativa de Iberseries & Platino Industria y Berlinale para unir Iberoamérica y Alemania
In its commitment to strengthening collaboration between Europe and Latin America, Iberseries & Platino Industria y Berlinale Series Market have promoted the Series Match initiative, a program whose purpose is to promote international co-production and encourage the creation of creative and industrial synergies in the fields of fiction and documentary.
The meeting, which will take place on February 16, 2026 in it CinemaxX Lounge of the Berlinale Series Market, will bring together five German production companies y five Ibero-American, each with a project in an early stage of development. The initiative seeks to stimulate international collaboration, promote creative exchange and open new business and co-production opportunities between both regions.
The call to participate in Series Match: Alemania & Iberoamérica is currently open. The selected companies will be able to explore creative synergies, establish international alliances and receive specialized advice from professionals and experts in the audiovisual industry in a direct exchange between participants.
All those production companies based in Germany or in any of the countries of the Ibero-American region that have series projects in the early phase of development, both fiction as documentary. The deadline for registrations will be December 15, 2025. Before that date, interested production companies must have submitted a one pager of the project and a half-page description of its current status; a half-page text explaining how the project could benefit from collaboration between Germany and Latin America; short biographies of the creator and the producer and a psummary company profile. Applications will be evaluated jointly by Iberseries & Platino Industria y Berlinale Series Market, taking into account the originality of the project, are international potential, the co-production feasibility and the creative team trajectory. Selected companies will be notified at the beginning of January 2026, and their projects will be part of a program designed to boost collaboration, knowledge sharing and international visibility of new Ibero-American and German productions.
