Iberseries & Platino Industria 2025 adelanta en Cannes las líneas maestras de su programación
Film Market (Cannes Film Festival) has been for yet another year the framework chosen to carry out the official presentation of Iberseries & Platino Industria, in which it was possible to learn about the first contents and activities of a fifth edition that will be held from September 30 to October 3 in Matadero Madrid with the impetus of EGEDA y Sequoia Foundation, in collaboration with FIPCA.
Participating in the presentation were Samuel Castro, co-director of Iberseries & Platino Industria, y Jesus Prieto, CFO, who once again thanked the support of authorities and organizations present, as well as the assistance of numerous professionals in the sector who supported the event. They were accompanied by Noemi Cuetos, Head of Cinema Sector ICEX; of Victor Aertsen, Head of Communication Madrid Film Office; and of Cristina Inigo, executive director of Iberseries & Platino Industria.

De este modo, se desarrollarán los siguientes ejes de programación en su quinta edición: Conferences and Keynotes, Iberscreenings, International Audiovisual Market (MAI) and PRO Activities: Coproduction and Financing Forum, sessions Pitch of Platforms and Production Companies, Training Workshops and meetings associated with cinema, tourism and education, new technologies and sustainability. La organización de la cita ya ha abierto las registrations para participar en una nueva edición del Foro de coproducción y financiación of Iberseries & Platino Industria, whose call is aimed at filmmakers, filmmakers, producers and film directors from Latin America and Europe, with feature films and fiction, docuseries and animation series in the advanced development phase. Its objective is to facilitate the connection with co-production, co-financing, distribution and dissemination partners, especially promoting alliances between Europe and Latin America. 10 feature film projects and 10 series projects will be selected, evaluated by international experts. Those responsible for the projects will participate in meetings one to one with potential strategic allies, organized according to similar collaboration interests.
The Forum not only promotes project development con high production standards, but acts as a barometer of trends in the Ibero-American audiovisual sector, detecting new narratives and emerging business models. The showrunners workshop returns with top-level professionals
Iberseries & Platino Industria convoca también el cuarto Taller para la formación de showrunners, aimed at people with adequate training and/or experience in creation, writing, direction or audiovisual production, who have a specific series project that they wish to develop in the Workshop, and whose languages are Spanish or English. The objective of the Workshop is to offer participants specific training in the work of the showrunner, with the aim of developing skills in the creation, writing, production and management of audiovisual projects that allow them to successfully face the production of a series. A maximum of 12 finalist projects will be chosen to take part in the workshop.
The tutors will be Jorge Redondo, executive producer and showrunner; Tatiana Rodríguez, screenwriter and creator of fiction series and feature films; Miquel Peidro, script coordinator, creator, playwright and novelist, and Mariano Baselga, screenwriter, executive producer and showrunner. The Workshop will be coordinated by Enrique Darriba, executive producer with extensive experience in creation, development and production of audiovisual content for television and platforms. Currently, he is director of the Master in Executive Production of audiovisual content with Secuoya Studios in The Core Entertainment Science School.
During the Taller de Showrunners Two conferences will be scheduled given by prestigious professionals in the audiovisual industry and participants will be given the opportunity to present their project in individual meetings, before executives from production companies, studios or platforms. The accreditation in Iberseries & Platino Industria will allow access to the programming of professional activities and registration in the different calls of the event.
