Panasonic presents four lightweight 4K60p cameras for the broadcast field

The new HC-X1200, HC-X1600, HC-X2100 and AG-CX20 models arrive to complete the range of broadcast cameras from Panasonic with 4K60p 10-bit recording capabilities, a 25mm wide angle and a 24x optical zoom.

The new series of 4K broadcast cameras of Panasonic It has been specially designed for those single-camera recording formats in which great mobility and versatility is required. Camcorders support a wide variety of bit rates and formats to meet major professional needs, resulting in 10-bit 4:2:2 internal recording with a maximum of 29.98p in UHD, and a maximum of 59.94p in FHD; the possibility of recording via HDMI in 4K60p 4:2:2 10-bit with an external solution, or high-efficiency HEVC recording options (LongGOP/10-bit 4:2:0/MOV).

The integrated lens offers a 24x optical zoom ranging from a 25mm wide angle to a 600mm telephoto lens, while the i.ZOOM function reaches 32x in 4K mode and 48x in FHD mode. Regarding its management, it has two manual rings: one for focus and one for zoom or iris. On the other hand, ND filters can be selected between 1/4, 1/16, 1/64 and “clear”, while the glass is used as a countermeasure against the burn caused by the condensation of sunlight.

The Focus speed, stability and tracking performance both for 4K as for FHD are achieved thanks to AF/AE with face detection, along with precise focusing lens drive. Regarding image stabilization, it works to detect and correct hand movement in 5 axes, including rotational blur. This provides strong correction in unstable conditions such as low and high angle shooting. The Ball O.I.S. reduces friction in the drive section, achieving delicate correction even for small amplitude hand movement.

The high-end AG-CX20/HC-X2100 models support FHD live streaming to through Wi-Fi y Ethernet. Additionally, the AG-CX20 will be compatible with the protocolo SRT in the future via update. From the system point of view, AG-CX20/HC-X2100 are equipped with 3G-SDI and support simultaneous output with HDMI. The AG-CX20 also provides IP connectivity compatible with NDI HX2.

Beyond their technical video recording features, these solutions include extensive quality of life improvements which translate into more direct and simple operability: a high-resolution OLED viewfinder, USB-C ports, double SD card slot, light integrated into the handle, low bit rate recording modes, low-speed zoom or RTMP compatibility.
