Buendía Estudios Canarias produces the series 'The Maid's Daughters', based on the novel by Sonsoles Ónega

Adaptation of the successful novel by Sonsoles Ónega (with which he won the 2023 Planeta Prize), 'The Maid's Daughters', Buendía Estudios Canarias has begun filming the series of the same name that will be broadcast by Antena 3 and will consist of 8 chapters of 50 minutes each.

Its filming will take place over the next few weeks in various locations in Galicia, Madrid and the Canary Islands. The actresses Verónica Sánchez and Carlota Baró star in the fiction which also features Martina Cariddi, Judith Fernández, Álex Villazán, Tomy Aguilera, Álex Gadea, Xoel Fernández, Fede Pérez, Alicia Armenteros, Iolanda Muíños, Alba Loureiro and Alejandro Vergara, among others.

Verónica and Carlota play, respectively, Inés and Renata, two women who have just given birth, but with a very distant reality. Inés is the matriarch of the Valdés, while Renata is the maid. The fiction, a drama set at the beginning of the 20th century, offers a portrait of the time through the Valdés family saga. It is set in a Galician manor and in a Cuba with a colonial past, and addresses themes such as forbidden loves, betrayals, class struggle, envy, secrets...

Sonia Martinez will be the executive producer of the series, which will be directed by Menna Fité and Alejo Flah. Lucia Alonso-Allende will be the co-executive producer of the series, which has a script team made up of Irene Rodríguez, Alba Lucío and Tatiana Rodríguez, with Daniel del Casar as script analyst. Sara Muñoz is the Production Director. In charge of the photography direction are Chechu Graf and Iván Caso. Patricia Rodríguez is the head of Makeup, while Mauro Gastón is in charge of hairdressing. The series has Conchi Iglesias as Casting Director.
