Matrox NAB 2024

NAB 2025 (April 6-9, Las Vegas) will once again host the showcase of Matrox Video, a firm that will present how its solutions can optimize current live production workflows and pave the way for IP and hybrid environments.

Matrox Video, among other solutions, will reveal all the keys to Monarch Edge, a high-performance, low-latency IP-based encoder and decoder that supports 4K and multi-HD workflows. The company will test its low-latency SRT encoding and decoding capabilities, including the latest ancillary data transport functions for remote production and contribution workflows.

Matrox ConvertIPOn the other hand, Matrox ConvertIP will show the possibilities offered by its integration between HDMI and SDI for flexible AV implementations, including its new Matrox ConvertIP SDM, an Intel Smart Display Module (SDM) compatible with ST 2110 and IPMX inputs, which provides latency-free 4K video over IP. Another new device to consider is Matrox Vion, an IP video gateway that supports multi-channel encoding, decoding and transcoding in ST 2110, IPMX, SRT and NDI formats. During the Las Vegas event, Matrox Video will demonstrate Vion's ability to transcode between NDI, SRT, ST 2110/IPMX and JPEG XS, demonstrating its versatility in handling multiple streams simultaneously.

Matrox Video Avio 2 N2150There is more: Matrox Avio 2, the world's first NMOS-compatible ST 2110/IPMX IP KVM extender based on open standards, will demonstrate its ability to deliver up to 4K resolution while providing ultra-low latency, secure remote access and seamless integration into various systems. NAB 2025 will also serve as a platform to drive the adoption of Matrox Origin, an asynchronous media framework designed for next-generation live production that replaces custom broadcast hardware interfaced with synchronous and synchronized protocols such as ST 2110 or SDI with software multimedia services that operate in a distributed COTS environment.

Finally, Matrox Video will showcase the DSX LE5 D25 LP and LE6 D100 ST 2110 network interface controller cards (NICs), which enable “cost-effective and flexible” IP workflows. Offering multi-channel video I/O over 10/25/100GbE and leveraging the Matrox DSX SDK, these cards power scalable HD to 8K solutions on COTS hardware.
