Eurocom offers solutions for 4K capture and workflows in IP environments at BIT

Together with its partners Hitachi, Evertz and Leader, Eurocom is offering at BIT Audiovisual everything from 4K cameras to new generation matrices and test and measurement equipment.

Eurocom is present in BIT Audiovisual 2018 showing the news from its partners Hitachi, Evertz y Leader as well as its advanced solutions integration services.

Among other proposals, at its stand we can check the possibilities offered by the 4K version of the camera 5500

The Z-HD5500 offers HDR (High Dynamic Range) capabilities, enabling video productions with higher contrast, richer colors and improved lighting reproduction while supporting HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) and HPQ HDR specifications. This camera offers the possibility of capturing native images at 1080p.

Along with the camera, Eurocom presents the new CCU CU-HD1300F-S1 with 4K, 12G-SDI output to the market. This CCU builds on the feature set offered by the original CU-HD1300F, combining SMPTE fiber transport and multi-format HDTV support with intercom, teleprompter return, and additional signal connectivity in a 2RU unit. On the other hand, Hitachi has recently announced an optional firmware update for its SK-UHD4000 4K camera to improve HDR capabilities.

EQX Smart Arrays

As for Evertz, Eurocom is announcing the possibilities of the line of its EQX smart arrays. Available in four sizes, your configuration can range from 10RU equipment for 180x180 or 180x360 with double density outputs (plus X-LINK outputs) to 1152x1152 with full path redundancy and options for embedded and de-embedded audio.

Precisely the compactness of these proposals makes them ideal for environments with small dimensions such as mobile units. For arrays larger than 2304x2304, using the EQXM series is more economical in terms of space and cost than using the EQX series in 26 drives.

For those who want to migrate to IP through a provisional SDI/IP hybrid infrastructure, test and measurement equipment such as the LV5600 de Leader providing common display interfaces, regardless of whether the source signal is SDI or IP.

The Leader LV5600 is a mains-powered SDI/IP waveform monitor in a compact 3U half-rack width desktop chassis with a front panel touch screen. It provides all the necessary facilities to seamlessly monitor UHD/HD/SD SDI as well as video over IP signals. It includes a rich set of engineering-related features, including test pattern generation, eye pattern display, jitter measurement, subtitle monitoring, CIE color diagram, high dynamic range measurement, focus assist, customizable screen layout, counting interface, 4K/UHD operation, 10G IP input and 12G-SDI interfaces. It supports SMPTE 2022-6, SMPTE 2022-7 and SMPTE 2110 protocols.
