Sean James to head global sales and services at Christie
After more than 28 years in the company, Christie appoints Sean James executive vice president of Global Sales and Services. He will lead the Sales department and continue to lead the company's services organization.
Michael Phipps, President and COO of Christie, said, "Sean has demonstrated his leadership, which, combined with his ability to cultivate strong, long-term relationships, makes him the ideal person to lead our sales and service teams. His extensive experience in visual technologies and services is a key factor that uniquely positions him to lead our new streamlined operations to better serve our customers while ensuring long-term sustainability."
Sean James, whose career began as a field engineer maintaining film equipment, was instrumental in developing support programs and relationships with many of the major Hollywood studios in his transition to digital cinema. He helped deploy the world's first large-scale digital cinema, with nearly 4,000 screens across the United States, and led the development of the first Network Operations Center (NOC) from Christie, expanding it globally. Previously, Sean has led Christie's Enterprise and Entertainment division and played a key role in its expansion into both markets. Their expertise over the years has reinforced the company's reputation as a global leader in audiovisual solutions for cinemas, themed entertainment, governments, and public and live events.
Following the reorganization, reporting to James will be: Josh Kolbeck, vice president of Sales for the Americas; Adil Zerouali, Vice President of Sales for EMEA; Han Kim, VP of Sales for APAC; Mike Marsh, director of Professional Services for the Americas; Ian Tyler, Senior Director EMEA Professional Services and Global Training and Ken Liew, Senior Director APAC Professional Services
"When the synergy between sales and services is enhanced, consistent experiences are generated that foster the trust and long-term loyalty of our customers. Thanks to the coordination of these two teams, we can offer consistent communication and provide optimal support service," commented Sean James.
