The Diamond C1 chassis leads Vitec's news for NAB 2025
Vitec, IPTV specialist, returns to NAB to unveil April 6-9 in Las Vegas the new Diamond C1, a single-slot modular chassis designed for Vitec OG cards, and upgrades for solutions such as the MGW Diamond-H encoder, ChannelLink, Diamond C10 chassis, EP6 and PRISM transcoder.
Designed for broadcast and media professionals, the Diamond C1 allows users to integrate MGW Diamond encoder or Ace Decoder OG cards in both desktop and rack-mount environments, to manage the delivery of high-quality video content to “any screen, anywhere.” With a modular design, dual redundant power supply and real-time monitoring capabilities, Diamond C1 suits applications including broadcast, remote contribution, multi-site and multi-channel, as well as IPTV distribution and streaming to computers, televisions and mobile devices.
Beyond introducing this new product, Vitec presents important updates such as the new recording capabilities of the MGW 4K HDMI encoder Diamond-H. Furthermore, in line with VITEC's commitment to sustainability, the MGW Diamond-H now provides energy consumption information to users, demonstrating its low energy consumption per channel.
The news continues with the arrival of automatic failover of the IP channel to the gateway ChannelLink IP-to-IP from Vitec, a solution that also supports RIST profiles for interoperability with IP sources. Furthermore, the chassis Diamond C10 is now compatible with MGW Ace Decoder OG cards and features an improved web interface for greater ease of use.
Other improvements presented at NAB 2025 is the arrival of the multivew al Vitec EP6; transcoder version 7.2 Prism, which adds support for MPEG-DASH, or version 11 of Avedia, which has a renewed interface to create interactive user experiences.
