Vitec - Diamond C10 - IBC 2024

The visitors of IBC 2024 (September 13 – 16) you will be able to discover a wide selection of new products from Vitec, among which the European premiere of its C10 Chassis or version 7 of Prism, its IP transcoder, stands out.

The new chassis Diamond C10 Vitec is defined as a “high-end modular chassis” compatible with VITEC OG encoding and decoding cards. Designed for the distribution of IPTV (encoding and streaming) to local area networks, as well as for remote broadcast contribution, the solution has been designed for those companies looking for an “easy, reliable and affordable” way to create a digital IPTV headend to transmit a high number of channels. The Diamond C10, as the single point of interaction with the network, is capable of monitoring and managing all hardware modules in the system, and has automatic redundancy and failover triggers.

Vitec will also present the latest version of Prism, a real-time IP video transcoding system that allows content to be adapted to an optimal format for efficient distribution to any device. Its adaptive bit rate and HLS output make it compatible with a wide range of devices and platforms, while its ability to create different levels of quality offers a “smooth and uninterrupted” viewing experience. The system will also showcase its integration with Akamai's CDN, as well as security improvements, including encryption of UDP TS transcoding channels.

Vitec - Diamond H - IBC 2024Other Vitec products that will be part of IBC 2024 are the MGW Diamond-H, Compact, energy-efficient encoder capable of handling multiple signals 4K video allowing users to take video from multiple sources, encode it, and send it over the network for a smoother workflow and improved connectivity, or ChannelLink, a solution that expands Vitec's video distribution offering by enabling reliable, low-latency delivery of IPTV content to remote employees or distant facilities.
