Rtveplay+ makes the leap to the European continent after its premiere in America

The international OTT platform for video on demand with premium content from RTVE, rtveplay+, the European continent opens.

Rtveplay+, until now only available in the American container, extends its availability to the rest of european countries with a selection of content available on demand that includes series, movies, documentaries, news or entertainment formats. The platform, accessible through a monthly or annual subscription (making a seven-day free trial period available to the user), also includes streaming of RTVE channels.

The Rtveplay+ OTT is part of the Corporation's internationalization strategy. The service launched on June 8, 2020 in America after the success of his trial period in Panama and was initially offered free of charge for a period of one month so that viewers would have an entertainment alternative in the context of COVID-19.

As highlighted by the RTVE At the time of its launch, rtveplay+ “represents a very important step in the strategy to expand the reach of the best Spanish Television content, overcoming territorial limitations and using all the resources that technology offers.” In this way, the platform is intended to constitute “a trampoline” to publicize “the thriving audiovisual industry of Spain throughout the world.”
