Suitest redesigns WingBox to align with its software-first vision at NAB 2025
One year after the launch of its WingBox video capture and control device and the presentation of Visual Testing, Suitest comes back to NAB (April 6 – 9) with a solution for remote testing of OTT applications, now scalable to data center levels.
Responding to rapidly growing demand for testing infrastructure robust and scalable remote, the new solutions of Suitest address three of the biggest challenges of OTT testing. Through Suitest Public Device Cloud, Suitest provides a complete infrastructure for testing on real devices such as Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV, Fire TV, Roku and Whale TV, while on the other hand, Suitest boasts of having the Broadest platform coverage in the industry, with a growing list of partners that includes operating system vendors such as Titan OS and WhaleOS, along with device manufacturers.
Finally, Suitest optimizes the automation processes to achieve minimal configuration and maximum compatibility, combining visual and object-based testing approaches in a single solution. To address this issue, your initiative Ottimus aims to further simplify test automation by eliminating the need for instrumentation across all OTT platforms.
Beyond testing, Suitest also enables OTT service providers to conduct live monitoring and the operational analysis, such as data mining, from a single centralized platform. By centralizing these critical workflows, OTT service providers can streamline their processes and gain actionable insights, helping them stay ahead in a rapidly evolving industry.
WingBox improves its capabilities
At NAB 2025, Suitest unveils major expansions to its public cloud of devices and capabilities WingBox, including third-party integrations that support remote testing on mobile devices and browsers through third parties. In this way, the public cloud of devices now includes Roku and Whale TV, which join Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV and Fire TV.
WingBox, device video capture and control of the industry that enables combined live and automated object- and visual-based testing for OTT applications and devices, establishes at NAB 2025 a new reference point regarding reliability and performance in remote testing environments. Recent innovations include lossless video streaming directly from TVs, plus ultra-low latency HDMI signal transmission with high-quality output (2K/60FPS). Other key features are the hardware-free visual testing support image capture and integration with SuitestDrive for network-based device control without additional hardware. Additionally, WingBox, together with SuitestDrive, allows remote installation and removal of applications on test devices.
WingBox serves as the foundation for Suitest's remote infrastructure, enabling expanded device inventory in the cloud. In line with the company's software-first approach, WingBox has been redesigned to improve the size, reliability and scalability, allowing OTT video service providers to set up their own testing infrastructure anywhere, from QA labs to network operations centers (NOC).
Optimized for rack deployment in a standard 19” 2U installation in data centers and adaptable for private device labs, ensures that users can expand their testing infrastructure without facing prohibitive costs, paving the way for future growth.
