Comcast promotes Xfinity Multiview, a solution to watch up to four live events simultaneously, with MediaKind
The MK.IO cloud SaaS platform MediaKind has been deployed to provide the new service Xfinity Multiview (Comcast) to millions of X1 customers.
Xfinity Multiview, the new viewing experience of Comcast, allows users to view up to four live events at the same time, all on the same screen. Once on this screen, customers can switch between channels to change the audio and select any channel the party to switch to full screen mode.
In order to manage this solution, Comcast decided to rely on MK.IO, the patented live video personalization technology of MediaKind that stays in Azure Media Cloud. The solution combines content composition technology from Screens Technology with MediaKind's highly scalable streaming platform. The Xfinity deployment marks the first commercial launch of the Xfinity partnership. MediaKind y Screens, which was announced in October 2024.
Cory Zachman, CTO of MediaKind, He feels “proud” to become part of these “new immersive experiences” from Xfinity. “We are seeing first-hand how scalable and personalized live viewing is transforming audience engagement and the direct impact of our cloud-based architectures designed at MK.IO,” he noted.
On the part of Screens, Marc Todd, CEO and co-founder, adds: "The future of live sports experiences is here for fans interested in sports, sports betting or simply wanting to follow multiple matches at once. With our dynamic multi-view technology integrated into MK.IO, viewers can follow events simultaneously, creating a truly unique and personalized way to experience their favorite matches like never before."
