All the Olympic Games on Xfinity TV from Comcast
The Xfinity TV service that Comcast markets in America will offer NBCUniversal Olympics content live and On Demand across multiple digital, mobile and tablet platforms and, for the first time in history, the Games will also be able to be seen in 3D.
Xfinity TV de Comcast, in an agreement with NBCUniversal, has unveiled the multi-platform content offering of NBCUniversal's coverage of the London 2012 Olympics, beginning Wednesday, July 25 through Sunday, August 12. Designed to offer video subscribers access to more than 5,535 hours of NBCUniversal's unprecedented Olympic Games programming, this offering represents the largest total number of hours of Olympic coverage ever introduced. Xfinity TV will offer NBCUniversal Olympics content live and On Demand across multiple digital, mobile and tablet platforms, and for the first time in history, the Games will also be viewable in 3D.
Matt Strauss, Senior Vice President of Digital and Emerging Platforms at Comcast Cable, said: "We are excited to bring NBCUniversal coverage of the London 2012 Olympics to our Xfinity TV customers every minute, every medal, on every screen. Through cross-platform Olympic-themed search, custom tools and resources, created to help our customers watch and experience the sporting events, we provide them with a virtual passport to the extensive programming that NBCUniversal will offer from the London 2012 Olympic Games.
In addition to extensive coverage across NBCUniversal channels including NBC, NBC Sports Network, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo and Telemundo, two HD channels specializing in soccer and basketball and a 3D channel, subscribers can stay connected to the London Summer Olympics wherever they are exclusively through NBCOlympics.com, and the NBC Olympics and NBC Olympics Live Extra apps available for tablet and mobile phone users.
As part of the vast majority of Xfinity TV customers' video subscriptions, which includes all televised Olympic content, NBCUniversal is offering Olympic content to subscribers live and On Demand, online, and on mobile phones and tablets through apps. This additional access to NBCUniversal Olympic programming expands Xfinity TV customers' opportunities to watch the Olympic Games wherever they are.
