YouTube has announced that it will broadcast live the most important moments of the London 2012 Olympic Games in collaboration with the American network NBC. The video portal, owned by Google, aims to provide a service of nearly three thousand hours of coverage during the Olympic event.
The broadcast includes images of all sporting events during the Games, including the opening and closing ceremonies as well as the delivery of the 302 medals awarded.
This project has materialized after YouTube reached an agreement with NBC, which owns the television rights to the summer games.
