Toboggan starts construction of its hub in Villaverde

With the aim of providing the sector with well-thought-out, functional spaces adapted to the real needs of current productions, Toboggan Group begins the construction of its new audiovisual hub in Villaverde (Madrid).

The complex, in which more than 30 million euros are being invested, will have five new sets con 14 meters high (the highest in the Community of Madrid), designed to offer versatility and facilitate any type of production. With the construction of these new sets, Toboggan responds to the demand for specialized spaces adapted to the execution of audiovisual projects, from large projects/formats to standard projects.

These facilities will offer unprecedented versatility for all types of productions in a total of 30.000 m², distributed in different sets with boxes measuring between 2,400m2, 1,500m2 and 1,200m2, with a height of 14m free of the catwalk and all auxiliary spaces. In addition, Toboggan has designed spaces designed to accompany production companies in each phase of their projects, including all the departments involved in filming: management offices, production offices, art warehouses, costume warehouses, loading/unloading spaces, parking, carpentry, makeup, changing rooms, dining rooms...

Toboggan has chosen a strategic location within the city with the aim of facilitating logistics, access to local talent and connection with other key urban services, such as universities, training centers or means of transport. This space is located in the Villaverde district, three commuter train stops from Atocha and direct metro lines (line 3 and line 12).

The Villaverde hub will be operational in August of 2025 thus increasing the supply of infrastructure for the audiovisual sector in the Community of Madrid, while Toboggan continues to expand its network of production spaces. With this initiative, the company contributes to promoting the production of audiovisual content in our country, placing Spain like a competitive destination and reinforcing the position of Madrid on the map of audiovisual, cultural and media production.

In addition to this new construction, Toboggan has been offering audiovisual services for almost a decade with a wide range of sets, production centers, art warehouses, clothing and management and production offices, as well as logistics of transport trucks, technical material, DIT material and sound cars, camera equipment for fiction and entertainment, mobile units and services post-production with editing rooms and color, sound and VFX laboratory (Picnic). Recently, the company has inaugurated a virtual production set in the Community of Madrid which will serve to support all types of fiction and advertising productions.
