Avid provides AI tools to version 2025.6 of Protools

A new Speech-To-Text based on AI function, designed to improve the treatment of dialogues and music edition, reaches version 2025.6 of Protools (Avid).

Among the main novelties of protools 2025.6, the inclusion of Splice, the library of samples free of “largest in the world” rights, which expands the ability of PRO TOOLS to take advantage of virtually any sound that a production team needs. The solution is now integrated directly in PRO TOOLS, putting millions of Loops, FX and One-Shots within reach of the creators, who can drag audio clips from the Pro Tools timeline directly to the “Search with Sound” panel of Spice, based on AI, to look for samples by rhythm, key and tempo, eliminating the change of applications and conjectures.

Avid has also proposed to optimize MIDI processes To expedite composition flows. In this sense, MIDI operations have been integrated in the MIDI editor, which allows the key edit tools to now be integrated directly into the MIDI editor without changing the window. In addition, the system allows you to change the name of the MIDI notes in the Roll piano so that they match your battery kits or specific instruments, and improvements have been made in Live mode and entry monitoring.

Again in the field of AI, Protools 2025.6 introduces an engine Speech-to-Text that accelerates the edition of dialogues and music. The editors can search through a transcription window dedicated any audio file of a session to obtain voice/lyric information, shown as text directly in context with the associated clips to find specific vocal shots and accelerate navigation.

The improvements of the last update of AVID is completed with new integrations with Waves Sync VX and Dreamtonics Synthesizer V. In addition, PRO TOOLS 2025.6 Improves compatibility with other audio postproduction solutions, including closely integrated ADR workflows, such as Non-Lethal Applications Cue Pro and The Cargo Cult Matchbox 2.0.

Pro Tools 2025.6 will be available for all subscribers of Pro Tools Artist, Studio y Ultimate. The new functions will be presented live at the fair IBC 2025 from Amsterdam from September 12 to 15.
