XPression 11.5 updates data security

Xpression, the graphics engine Ross Video, reaches version 11.5, with important new features aimed at improving workflows and security standards.

Ross Video has decided to address the increasing use of workflows cloud in broadcast environments including security improvements to your graphics solution. In this way, version 11.5 of XPression now includes security hash SHA-512 within the workflows of XPression Project Server, carrying keys API, OAuth2 or AES encryption to access online content. Patrick Twomey, director of graphics product management at Ross Video, commented: "Our customers' ability to protect their XPression systems and content, under any circumstance, is top of mind. We add secure protocols to their content, and the ability to securely access third-party data to complement their video productions is critical to their success, and ours."

The Canadian firm has also improved the workflow of XPression Visual Logic with new logic blocks for String Match y String Selector, which provide additional access to advanced features, while allowing data analysis and evaluation without the need to create complex scripts.

Similarly, version 11.5 of the Ross Video tool has received the ability to integrate Google Sheets as data sources (which can be integrated into XPression DataLinq; Additional features in the HTML5 XPression MOS client for Search and preview assets and add them to a portfolio of Newsroom MOS-enabled, and improved tools to maintain communication with XPression Gateway in the event that network connectivity is unstable.
