Ross Video updates XPression including new user-centric features

Xpression version 8.5 brings new enhancements to the suite of real-time motion graphics systems, clip servers, workflow tools and dedicated software applications.

Ross Video has updated the XPression version 8.5, which brings several new features and improvements to the motion graphics tools in real time, clip servers, tools workflow and specific software applications designed for the fastest growing industry.

The Innovative XPression cache management will be part of the 64-bit editions of XPression Studio, XPression BlueBox and XPression Prime, allowing customers to create even larger XPression projects. In addition to the performance benefits offered by 64-bit applications (which can access more resources on the host computer), users of the 64-bit edition of XPression Studio will now find a Cinema4D import tool, which allows designers to incorporate scenes from Maxon's Cinema4D application into XPression real-time motion graphics workflows.

Patrick Twomey, director of XPression product marketing, highlights that "the XPression team is always focused on improving the customer experience in many different areas. XPression represents a very powerful solution for all types of workflows, from sporting events at the network level, to community access programming and everything in between. This version has something for every type of customer."

XPression 8.5 includes new user-focused features such as a global search tool to find any asset in the current project with a simple text string, a XPression MOS plug-in HTML5 edition for systems cross-platform writing as Inception de Ross Video and the new XPression gateway connection group configuration, which allows multiple configuration settings (ranging from multiple control rooms to configuring primary and backup XPression engine configurations). In this new version it is also includes Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2019 for compatibility with Windows NLE workflow.

Version 8.5 also includes some improvements to DataLinq, including new data sources for use in horse racing, improved support for international Unicode text input methods, and file search capability for ADODB sources.
