Brutal Media produces 'The Map of Desires' for Netflix

'The Map of Desires', a miniseries that adapts the novel of the same name by the Spanish writer Alice Kellen (Editorial Planeta), will soon arrive on Netflix produced by Brutal Media.

The production tells the story of Greta (Alícia Falcó), who claims to have been born with the purpose of saving her sister Lucy (Georgina Amorós), who suffers from leukemia, through her stem cells. However, events take an unexpected turn and Lucy dies, leaving Greta with a deep existential void. Before leaving, Lucy creates “The Map of Longings,” a game that challenges Greta to face her pain and discover her own path. On this trip, Greta will meet Will (Pablo Álvarez), an enigmatic young man with a past that torments him.

The map of desires has the address of Laura M. Campos y Gemma Ferraté, con Isa Sanchez as a screenwriter and is produced by Brutal Media con Arlette Peyret y Raimon Masllorens as executive producers. It is not the only collaboration of the production company with Netflix, focused on areas as diverse as fiction, documentaries, original formats, factual programs and entertainment: it has already signed other works such as Assault on the Central Bank, directed by Daniel Calparsoro and starring Miguel Herrán, María Pedraza and Hovik Keuchkerian.

The miniseries features Alicia Falcon (Eighteen, The Atomic Shelter) in the role of Greta, Pablo Alvarez (Memento Mori, The Favorite 1922) like Will and Georgina Amorós (Second death, All the times we fell in love, Elite) playing Lucy. They complete the cast Laia Marull (The black earth, The innocence), Mario de la Rosa (The Paper House, Welcome to Eden), y Ramon Barea (Four walls, Everyone knows them), among others.
