Morena Films produces 'In the Circle of the Murderer', the new Netflix thriller

Netflix has announced the beginning of filming of 'In the circle of the murderer', a seven-episode fiction series produced by Morena Films and inspired by a real case.

In the circle of the murderer tells the story of a young journalist (Gabriela Andrada) who reconstructs for a podcast the story of the first serial killer in the recent history of Spain, in the midst of growing tensions over his imminent release after serving his sentence. To access the protagonists of the past, he has the help of a veteran journalist (Belén Rueda), who covered the case in her youth (Catalina Sopelana).

The project is led by Sergio G. Sánchez (Alma, The Secret of Marrowbone) y Pedro Martín-Calero (The crying), who share the direction of seven chapters developed between the present and the second half of the nineties in the Valencian Community, years in which the murders took place. Beyond Belén Rueda, Gabriela Andrada and Catalina Sopelana, the actors participate in the series Alfonso Nieto, Francisco Orella, Loreto Mauleon, Nacho Fresneda, Cesar Mateo, Carlos Serrano, Eneko Sagardoy, Paula Usero, No Albet y Albert Pla, inter alia.

The production of the series is carried out by Morena Films and has Pedro Uriol y Sergio G. Sánchez as executive producers. The scripts have been written by himself Sergio G. Sánchez with the collaboration of Guillem Clua. He filming, already in process, will be carried out in different locations in the Valencian Community and in Madrid during the coming weeks.
