The Department of Tourism and Foreign Andalusia of the Government of Andalusia reinforces the strategy to promote film tourism in collaboration with Andalucía Film Commission, to position the region as a major international set and capture international filming that allows us to continue developing a sustainable, seasonally adjusted segment with high economic impact.

The Minister of Tourism and Foreign Andalusia, Arturo Bernal, has stressed that each production that is developed in the community "multiplies the demand for accommodation, restaurants and transportation, benefiting dozens of local companies and projecting our image on millions of screens."

Bernal recalled that, every year, the Andalusian Film Commission and the Andalusian Film Cities Network serve nearly 1,400 audiovisual projects what They generate more than 20,000 jobs and around 110 million euros, according to the latest balance presented in the 2023 report. In addition, they have a high impact on the tourism industry, since it is estimated that the accommodation of the teams alone represents around 12 million euros annually.

Collaboration in this area has allowed the potential of Andalusia to be shown at specialized meetings in the sector, such as the Berlinale (Germany), or the Marché du Film de Cannes (France) and will continue in the coming months in forums such as the San Sebastián International Festival or Focus London.

As a novelty, a mission will be carried out in India, with participation in the International Film Festival of India (Goa) and meetings with the bollywood industry in New Delhi. This is about establishing Andalusia among the most competitive filming destinations in the world and promoting co-productions with high added value.

Furthermore, to attract travelers interested in this product and, especially, among younger demand profiles, an alliance has been established with the mobile application Set Jetters, which allows the traveler to visit geolocated filming locations and recreate exact production scenes with their own camera. The app, free and available for Android and iOS, offers an immersive and gamified experience that motivates the traveler to discover Andalusia in a new way, which is why new locations are being progressively incorporated into this application, with iconic scenes from series and movies such as Game of Thrones, The Crown or Lawrence of Arabia, Die Another Day o Wonder Woman 1984, among others.

Each enclave incorporates a section with information about local history, gastronomy and other nearby attractions, encouraging the visitor to disperse throughout the territory. In addition, themed badges will be released as rewards for users that they can collect by visiting some of the Andalusian settings.
