Tuxera will show the evolution of Fusion SMB at IBC 2025
Working collaboratively with many of the industry's leading server and storage specialists, A tux continues to improve Fusion SMB, a system that reaches IBC 2025 (September 12-15, Amsterdam) to deliver “demonstrable and profitable” gains in efficiency and productivity in media environments.
Tuxera Fusion SMB, defined by the company itself as the “fastest business SMB server”, seeks to respond to the main challenges which involves moving large files. The system adapts to tiny microservices containers, massive storage clusters, and cloud workflows, supporting up to 32 nodes.
The system continues to improve tirelessly, as demonstrated at NAB Show 2025. Back then, Fusion SMB demonstrated 5.3 GB/s performance for Mac clients, although recent engineering advances have led it to 8.6 GB/s from a single port of an ATTO Technology 100GbE card. With SMB over RDMA, Windows clients can achieve 11.3 GB/s per 100 GbE port used, with linear scaling of performance.
Antti Alila, vice president of business solutions at Tuxera, elaborates on the company's solution: "Despite advances in remote work, the media industry today depends on the fast, reliable and secure transfer of files from servers to workstations, and from one site to another. To build these architectures, they have to work with the best providers, so we are developing alliances with the best storage specialists, integrating Tuxera Fusion SMB into the networks and workflows that drive the most productions. demanding today.
Tuxera works with a growing list of partners including key names in the media storage ecosystem such as Quantum, Pixitmedia by Datacore y ATTO Technology.
