Techex - TX Darwin - IBC 2025

During IBC 2025 (September 12-15, Amsterdam), attendees will be able to discover the latest developments in TX Darwin, a modular framework for live asset processing from Techex which has been updated with compression, frame rate conversion and graphics keying features.

Techex has expanded the possibilities TX Darwin since the last edition of IBC launching more than 25 new modules, which adds up to a total of 60 modules in production that allows broadcasters to “adapt, adjust, monitor, protect and transform” their high-value live content. Looking ahead to the 2025 edition of the Amsterdam event, the tool releases important new features such as premium MPEG-4 AVC and JPEG XS codecs, which allow workflows to span compressed and baseband domains to accommodate different media streams and transport bandwidths. Additionally, the new function Blueprints allows you to design sophisticated, hierarchical workflows once and deploy them repeatedly; the video standards conversion receives motion compensation thanks to the collaboration of InSync, and add the insert dynamic HTML5 graphics.

In parallel, Techex continues to invest in its IP transport platform, TX edge, with the introduction of JPEG XS TR-07 protected by SRT, facilitating live sports production from cloud environments. Performance optimizations deliver higher performance with the same computing power, while its Trust Boundarycompliant with SMPTE, it serves as a secure multimedia firewall ideal for handover, scalable third-party delivery, and network translation.

As explained Scott Kewley, CEO of Techex, broadcasters need “speed, reliability and adaptability”, cornerstones of the company's offering: “With TX Darwin Blueprints, high-quality video compression, frame rate conversion and graphics embedding, not to mention the powerful new features of TX edge, we provide our customers with the tools necessary to implement workflows more quickly, reduce risk and adapt more easily to change.”

Although Techex will have its own stand at IBC 2025, the manufacturer's solutions will also be available at the stands of Master Control Cloud, Live Media Exchange, IBC x Google Cloud Hackfest, TAG Video Systems, Sony Nevion, Imagine Communications, Amazon Web Services, Densitron y Skyline Dataminer.
