Neumann KH Subwoofers IBC 2025

Five new subwoofers with DSP technology, the KH 805 II, KH 810 II and KH 870 II, as well as their Audio-over-IP (AoIP) counterparts KH 810 II AES67 and KH 870 II AES67, join the catalog of stereo and immersive monitoring solutions from Neumann (Sennheiser).

He KH 805 II It builds on the success of the KH 750 DSP and offers approximately twice the power for greater headroom and bass authority. It is the ideal choice for stereo setups using the Neumann KH 120 II, KH 150 or KH 310 monitors. In parallel, the KH 810 II adds multi-channel bass management for systems up to 7.1.4, making it compatible with immersive audio production. The system features the same acoustic design as the KH 805 II and supports bass management for up to eleven studio monitors.

At the top of the range, the KH 870 II doubles the power of the KH 810 II and offers the same multichannel capabilities. Designed for large rooms and high-demand applications, it is combined with large format monitors such as the KH 420. Additionally, from an IP perspective, the KH 810 II AES67 and el KH 870 II AES67 They integrate into the most cutting-edge broadcast environments with support for 12 AES67 input channels and compatibility with ST 2110, ST 2022-7 redundancy, RAVENNA, NMOS and flows generated by DANTE.

All new KH subwoofers, introduced during IBC 2025, they have the advanced motor DSP de Neumann, which allows system alignment through MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment. This system allows users to optimize their entire monitoring setup, including KH analog speakers, for room acoustics and phase coherence.

With the incorporation of these new models, Neumann offers a wide range of DSP controlled subwoofers. From the compact KH 750 DSP to the powerful KH 870 II, these solutions seek to cover “all monitoring needs”: from stereo audio to immersive audio, in music production, editing, post-production, composition, mixing and mastering. All models reach the hearing threshold of 16 Hz and, together with Neumann studio monitors, allow reference sound across the entire frequency spectrum.

Stephan Mauer, product manager, highlights the launch and underlines the opportunities it will bring to the industry: "Our new subwoofers offer significant advances, with a drastic reduction in distortion and port noise. Notably, they can be combined with analogue and DSP-controlled KH Line studio monitors, making them the perfect tool to upgrade an existing stereo system and/or expand it for immersive monitoring. They also offer the option of precisely aligning the entire room through the MA 1 of the entire system. In other words: no more guesswork in the bass.”
