Oria Mini: Audient's solution for room acoustic correction
Created by They will listen in collaboration with Sonarworks, the new Oria Mini is presented as room acoustic correction hardware designed for creators, producers and studio owners.
The new Oria Mini provides professional-grade acoustic calibration in a dedicated hardware device, without the need for software, without CPU overhead, without latency and without doubts in making decisions. In the words of Andrew Allen, Director of Product and Marketing at Audient: "Every sound engineer knows the frustration of working on mixes that don't translate correctly outside of the studio. The reality is that the problem is usually in the room itself and if you can't trust what you hear, you can't trust your mix. Oria Mini solves this situation in a matter of minutes, giving you a professional monitoring environment you can truly trust and the security you need to get your best mixes yet."
Powered by Sonarworks SoundID Reference, Oria Mini is integrated between the audio interface and monitors. The system measures and corrects acoustic imperfections in any space, from home studios to professional control rooms, and applies corrective calibration directly through its internal DSP. In this way, it seeks to offer precise and reliable monitoring without the need to use plug-ins or system-level software.
Audient's solution features voice converters 32 bits, a 127 dB dynamic range and compatibility with speaker systems up to 2.1. Users can upload up to four unique calibration profiles on the hardware and switch between them instantly to streamline your workflow. Additionally, through Sonarworks, it is possible to create calibration profiles that simulate different playback environments, such as a car system or mobile phone, to see how mixes translate to other systems, all without leaving the workbench.
Others outstanding features of Oria Mini are its calibration and commissioning “in less than 20 minutes”; remote control capabilities via Stream Deck and iPad; compatibility with measurement software such as Smaart or Room EQ Wizard; TRS analog and S/PDIF digital inputs, as well as its two TRS outputs and an additional dedicated subwoofer, or support for 24bit/96kHz audio, as well as with macOS and Windows operating systems.
