EITB renews its set 2 and the Radio Euskadi studio

Calrec, Hi-Human Interface (Riedel), Sony, Stype, Vizrt and Wincam are among the main technological suppliers of the renovated news and radio studio sets of EiTB in Bilbao, a commitment to technological innovation and visual spectacularity.

Set 2 of EITB, where the news is held every day Television, has a new wraparound design which gives greater spectacularity and panoramic image to the program. For this, a screen (with a pitch of 2.5) based with curvature mounting and additional totems of more than 16 linear m, with 3 m height integrated into a set that has been designed, manufactured and installed by Rez Studio, with the collaboration of EITB Artistic Department.

Likewise, it has been equipped with the ability to include augmented reality thanks to Vizrt graphics system, with the installation of a Sistema De Tracking Redspy del Fabricante Stype, on the existing provision of Jimmy Jib crane and Sony FB80 camera. Said augmented reality can be orchestrated through the sistema Vizmultiplay de Vizrt, combining on-screen elements with augmented reality elements.

All this decoration has LED lighting at 600 lux evenly distributed throughout the set, so that it allows journalists to move throughout the set without shadow spots. LED lighting also allows you to achieve different lighting designs, providing the decoration with a singular showiness and allowing personalization of each program.

Radio Euskadi is committed to visual radio

With the aim of adapting to new forms and content of consumption, EITB has also renewed Radio Euskadi with a new decoration that has a modern and customizable composition, designed, manufactured and installed by Baulan. Likewise, Sony SRG-A12 PTZ cameras have been incorporated into a central tabletop main mount, which are integrated into Wincam's existing visual radio solution.

Added to all this is the recent comprehensive implementation of 13 Calrec TypeR Audio Mixers and the interconnection system from the same manufacturer, all of them destined for the set of controls at the Bilbao headquarters. The new mixers offer Scalable control surfaces, intuitive touch interfaces and full compatibility with ST2110 standard, based on IP technology. It has also been changed synchronization system with PTP protocol from the manufacturer Albalá, thus adapting to current standards.

To obtain a comprehensive solution in the IP environment and facilitate the routing and control of audio streams, the Hi-Human Interface orchestrator and controller. Thus, EITB consolidates a more modern, robust work system prepared to face present and future challenges in the field of broadcasting.
