Promercat (València Film Market) will look for co-producers for 29 audiovisual projects
The Department of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment, through the Valencian Institute of Culture, promotes the fifth edition of Promarket – Valencia Film Market next November 5th and 6th, which will feature 29 projects seeking production partners to become a reality.

The market focuses on three areas: co-official languages, national and distribution and sales. En esta edición se han seleccionado 29 proyectos, de los cuales 12 corresponden a la categoría Promercat Autonómico de lenguas cooficiales, 15 a Promercat Nacional y 2 a Promercat Distribución y ventas. The fundamental selection criteria have been narrative quality, production design and financial sustainability of the projects presented. The 27 projects from Promercat Autonómico and Promercat Nacional, which will participate in two pitch sessions, come from Valencia, Barcelona, Alicante, Zaragoza, Madrid, Palma de Mallorca, Santander, Málaga and Vitoria.
Autonomous Promercat It is aimed at fiction projects, both feature films and series, miniseries and television films that will be filmed in co-official languages. A total of twelve projects have been selected: And now what? of Cinética Productions (Palma de Mallorca); The collapse, by Damita Joe (Barcelona); The girls, de Silence Producción y Distribución (Valencia); Miel, de Jaibo Films (Alicante); ¡Molta merda!, de Produccions Quart (Barcelona), Pálpito de Proyecta Films (Valencia), Sang dorxata de Beniwood Producciones (Valencia); Todo y nada, de Conzeta Films (Barcelona); Videoclub 2001, de Los Hermanos Polo Films (Valencia); Horitzó, de Aire de Cinema (Valencia); Insólita gente translúcida, de Maua Produzioak (Vitoria), y Tesa & Poso, de El Camino Producciones Cinematográficas (Valencia).
Promercat Nacional, por su parte, se dedica a las producciones audiovisuales que buscan la coproducción en España y está dirigido a proyectos de largometrajes de ficción para cine o televisión. Los proyectos valencianos seleccionados son Carro Seco, by The Polo Brothers Films (València); Confession in the shadow, from PT Media (Valencia); The most beautiful animal, by Tarannà Films (Valencia); On the weekends, by Amora Films (Valencia); Death in Torrevieja, by Nakamura Films (Valencia); Nakachian, by Little Frame (Valencia) and Luz Naranja Films (Málaga); a werewolf, from Jaibo Films (Alicante), and White Label by Inaudita Films (Valencia). The selection committee has also chosen Casualties of War, from The Difference (Barcelona); The burrow, from Japonica Films (Barcelona); The shepherdess, by Crew Films (Zaragoza), and Marma Rabbit Boy, from Encarna Movies (Santander). Furthermore, the three fiction series are The song of the dawn, with 39 steps (Madrid); Rare review, by The Fly Hunter (Valencia), and waters gone by, from TV ON Producciones (Valencia) and Caracol Studios (Portugal). The projects selected in Promercat Autonómico and Promercat Nacional will have the opportunity to carry out a presentation to other production companies, distribution companies and television networks interested in co-producing. Later they will organize B2B meetings among the participants.
Finally, the section Promercat distribution and sales is directed to fiction feature films made by Valencian production companies, or with a Valencian majority, and completed after 2024 or in post-production phase, who are looking for distribution or sale. The selected projects, both completed and those in the process of completion, will have the opportunity to make a presentation to other distribution companies. Online viewings of the films will be provided to interested distributors. In the selection of projects it has been valued that the financing is secured, the phase or state of production or having obtained aid for production, development or script from the Institut Valencian de Cultura or another public institution. The selected projects are Nena, from TV ON Producciones (Valencia), and The bad names of Admirable Films (Valencia), TV ON Producciones (Valencia) and Lamalanga Producciones (Barcelona).
