The 8th edition of 'I+P Ideas to produce' will host the presentation of 15 audiovisual projects in Santiago

This pitching is intended to bring together companies or individual participants seeking business alliances for co-production.

Next Thursday, June 12, the 8th edition of the pitching “I+P Ideas to produce” will be held at the Galicia Auditorium in Santiago de Compostela, in which a total of 15 projects will be presented, of which eleven are Galician, three from Madrid and one from Andalusia. Of the total projects, seven are feature films and eight are television formats.

The “I+P Ideas to produce” pitching is organized by the Galician Audiovisual Cluster (Clag), in collaboration with the Xunta de Galicia, through the Axencia Galega das Industrias Culturais (Agadic) and the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (Igape), and with the Santiago de Compostela City Council. In this edition, the Clag also has the collaboration of the Santiago de Compostela Film Commission, the Faculty of Communication Sciences of Santiago de Compostela, the Master in Audiovisual Production and Management (MPXA), and with the sponsorship of the Music Library company.

The meeting is intended to bring together companies or individual participants seeking business alliances for co-production. On the other hand, for productions in a more advanced state, I+P aims to facilitate meetings with distributors, broadcast programmers and international sales managers for marketing.

Santiago Cinematographic Tour: Compostela as a film set

The “I+P Ideas to produce” is an exhibition format for audiovisual projects already consolidated at the national level, which includes a session to present the projects and the holding of bilateral meetings with prominent agents in the sector. In this edition, more than a dozen heads of national television channels will participate, such as TVE or the Mediaset and Atresmedia groups; regional channels, distribution agents (Filmax, A Contracorriente Films, European Dream Factory, etc.), executive producers in search of new ideas and audiovisual products or managers of international companies such as CanSpan Film Factory (Canada) and Framing L.A. (Los Angeles, USA), among others.

On the day before the pitching, on Wednesday, June 11, all these agents and managers of television channels, together with producers from the Galician audiovisual sector, will take a tour of the city of Santiago, which will depart at 5:00 p.m. from Plaza del Obradoiro, to visit various film locations and discover the potential of Compostela as a film set.
Finalist projects

As for the finalist projects, the Selection Committee of this eighth edition of the pitching “I+P Ideas to produce” was made up of the Filmax delegate in Galicia and vice president of Clag, Inmaculada Castaño; the general director of Area 5.1 Audiovisual Factory and vice president of Clag, Celestino Hermida, and the person responsible for Audiovisual Policy of the Xunta de Galicia, Dolores Meijomín.
