Producers from all over Spain seek commercial agreements for their projects in the Pitching 'I+P Ideas to produce'

Organized by the Galician Audiovisual Cluster, a total of 15 projects were presented at this meeting in front of a panel of experts made up of television channel directors, sales agents and executive producers.

More than a hundred audiovisual professionals from all over Spain have participated this week, in Santiago, in the 9th edition of the pitching R&P, Ideas to produce, organized by the Galician Audiovisual Cluster (CLAG).

An opportunity for audiovisual agents to open new business avenues and establish business contacts.

This day of exhibition of audiovisual projects, which promotes contact between those responsible for content acquisition and producers seeking financing, marketing or distribution for their works, was inaugurated by the president of CLAG, Andrés Barbé, who was accompanied by the director of the Axencia Galega das Industrias Culturais (AGADIC), Jacobo Sutil; the president of the Territorial Council of the SGAE in Galicia, Juan Rivas; and the director of the IGAPE Competitiveness Area, Norberto Penedo.

Andrés Barbé reminded the audiovisual creators and agents who participate in this ninth edition of the R&P, Ideas to produce the excellent opportunity that this format represents to do business. Something that was also influenced by Jacobo Sutil, who also highlighted the fruitfulness of this event, which represents a very important additional possibility to open new business avenues, exchange ideas and acquire contacts within the sector.

Galicia has “excellent” intellectual property rights raw material, according to Juan Rivas, who also encouraged the experts who participate today in pitching to buy Galician audiovisual production.

For his part, Norberto Penedo referred to this pitching as the “star project” of CLAG, and highlighted the role of the clusters in promoting key sectors for the territory, mentioning the “excellent work” carried out by the Galician Audiovisual Cluster, in particular. One of the ten excellent clusters of the Galician autonomous community that are presented under the recently created Clusters of Galicia brand and “that have and will continue to have the support of IGAPE,” he highlighted.

Among the audience of this edition are prominent national audiovisual directors, such as Fernando López Puig (TVE) or Olga Martínez and Néstor Barreira (Mediaset España). Representatives from other television networks and groups such as Iñaki González (Atresmedia Televisión) also participate in this meeting; Lara López (Movistar+); Paula Jiménez (Mediaset Spain); Daniel Pérez (Fox); María Contreras (Atresmedia Cine); Fernando Madriñán, Montse Besada and Vanessa Grela (TVG); Natalia Martínez (Aragón TV) and Alfonso Martínez (R).

As well as the distribution agents Fernando Riera (A Contracorriente Films), Jaime Comas (Flins e Pinícolas) and Clara Santolaria (DeAPlaneta), or the producers Carlos Fernández (Filmax), Edmon Roch (Ikiru Films) and Javier Pérez de Silva (La Competencia), and also the head of Voz Audiovisual, Carlos Carballo.

This ninth edition of R&P, Ideas to produce included the celebration on Wednesday of the forum "National fiction. Keys to success", in which some of the keys to achieving the success of serial fiction were analyzed, taking into account the relativity of a success that is not always in the audience quota and that is not always
It always depends on the product. During the session, the differences between the production of fiction series for regional channels and national channels were also discussed, and it was stressed that the waiting margins of the latter are smaller.

In Spain we have a solvent industry and there is consumption of national fiction, two aspects that affect the golden age that we are experiencing.
