The Galician Audiovisual Cluster celebrates the eighth edition of its pitching “I+P Ideas to produce”
More than eighty professionals from the audiovisual sector participate in this project presentation day. During the meeting, more than a hundred one-to-one meetings will be held in search of collaboration agreements.
“The audiovisual sector is key to Galician culture, and formats such as the pitching of the Galician Audiovisual Cluster are useful to verify the relevance of our audiovisual industry.” This was stated by the Secretary General of Culture, Anxo Lorenzo, today, Thursday, the 12th, in Santiago during the presentation of the 8th edition of the pitching “I+P Ideas to produce”, organized by the Galician Audiovisual Cluster (Clag), in which producers from the audiovisual sector from all over Spain present their projects.
Also participating in the presentation, along with Anxo Lorenzo, were the president of Clag, Andrés Barbé, and the director of the Galician Cultural Industries Agency (Agadic), Jacobo Sutil. The event took place at the Galicia Auditorium before an audience made up of national producers, heads of public and private television channels, and agents of distributors, as well as various institutional representatives.
Anxo Lorenzo also took advantage of this event to highlight the importance of the figure of clusters for the Galician economy as institutional interlocutors, and reiterated the support of his Ministry for the Galician Audiovisual Cluster. In this sense, he spoke of the
suitability for the Galician cultural fabric of the creation of other clusters in other areas of the cultural industry, and “why not think in the medium term about the existence of a cluster of all Galician cultural industries”.
More than a hundred one-to-one meetings
Those responsible for each job have had 12 minutes to try to capture the attention of the directors of public and private television channels, prominent producers and distribution agents.
During this afternoon, more than a hundred one-to-one meetings will be held at the NH Obradoiro Hotel, in which the authors of the projects or their producers will be able to detail the most relevant aspects of them, seeking commitments from professionals that culminate in the materialization of agreements.
