Prosound Immersive audio technology takes its first steps with 'The White Lady' (Onda Cero Podcast)
Onda Cero Podcast (Atresmedia) reinterprets the myth of La Llorona in a police key with its new original fiction series 'The White Lady', a format that incorporates the 360º Prosound Immersive audio treatment.
The series, structured in ten episodes, spirals between disbelief, obsession and revelation, while Aurora delves into a territory where the rational collapses. What begins as a police thriller transforms into a story of redemption and mourning, where the border between what real and the fantastic it blurs. Written by the screenwriter Enrique Videla and directed together with Miguel Ángel Expósito and Víctor Blanco, the fiction takes place in the north of Spain and proposes a narrative journey full of tension, mystery and supernatural elements.
The white lady It is set in a small town in the Aragonese Pyrenees. The story begins with the disappearance of a group of children during a school trip in a forest. Aurora Ochoa, a forest ranger and mother of one of the missing girls, leads the investigation without finding answers. Ten years later, one of the children, Lucas, reappears without apparent explanation. His confusing and disturbing story suggests that behind the disappearances there is something more than a tragedy or a crime: a supernatural entity that inhabits the forest and that could be responsible for everything.
Starring Ana Isabel Rodríguez and Sergio Liébana, the cast is completed with voices such as Alejandro García 'Peyo', Coral Balas, José Ángel Fuentes, Emma Cifuentes and Luis Ignacio González, among others. He sound design and technical production are carried out by the team Mr. Peaks, with Álex Escutia and Alfonso Sanz in charge of the setting.
360º sound experience
The white lady incorporates the treatment of Prosound Immersive, a technology developed by sound designer Martin Justo that converts any mixture stereo or binaural in a 360° sound experience. This is the first time that a fiction podcast uses this technology, which uses principles psychoacoustics to generate depth, movement and spatial realism on any playback system without the need for headphones or special hardware.
The result is a “new way” of listening to audio, more immersive, emotional and cinematic. In Justo's own words: "We want each person to experience the podcast as if they were in a movie: to feel the space, the distance, the environment. It is a sound that surrounds you and excites you on any speaker, even the simplest ones."
El thriller The white lady It is now available in full on the Onda Cero website and app and, every week, a new chapter on the main audio platforms.
